We are partners of “Babylon Berlin”, the TV event of the year. The spectacular TV event was shot at numerous original locations in Berlin, such as Alexanderplatz, the Red Town Hall or the Schöneberg Town Hall.
On our three-hour tour we explore the most exciting locations and take you to the world of Gereon Rath. On iPads we show exclusive film excerpts from the series and fascinating original recordings from the 1920s. Learn from us background stories about the filming, the actors and the 1920s in Berlin. What has been shot in the beautiful church in Prenzlauer Berg? Which sights replace the Berlin Police Headquarters, the “Rote Burg”? How did Alexanderplatz become part of the series? Where does Gereon and Charlotte go from a dark bridge in the centre of Berlin? In which bars and clubs do the actors of the series dance — and where did the nightlife of the twenties really take place? Become part of the fascinating world of “Babylon Berlin” and take a journey through time to the late Weimar Republick. The tour is mostly in Berlin-Mitte between Prenzlauer Berg and ends at the Friedrichstraße S-Bahn station (ATTENTION: BVG ticket required). The tour is in German.
The tour will be moderated (almost always) by Arne Krasting, historian and expert of the Weimar Republic - and contributor in Season 3.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
